100 days smarter

Today we celebrated 100 days of school! We had a great time coming to school dressed as 100 year old!!  We danced as we counted to 100. We sorted snacks in groups of 10 and then we ate them all. We made 10 groups of 10 until we reached 100. 

We used the APP Oldster to make our face look old. 

Letter of the week

Learning how to write letters using play-doh is so much fun. Every student got to make their own letter as they learn how to roll the play-doh into long snakes. We use a big line and 3 little lines to make the letter E.

We read the book and sang the song! We painted each one of the characters and learned about colors. 

We worked on sequencing and retelling. It was so much fun !!!

Community

Communities have many cool places to visit and explore. We've been learning about maps and communities. Look at the beautiful maps we made collaborating and working together. 

First week of school

What a great week we've had. We are all learning new routines and getting to know each other. 

This week we've enjoyed reading Pete the Cat. 

We are introducing Mat Man while we learn to use  the wood pieces that we will use while making letters.

Animals

This month we have learned about animals in Prek. We have a Vet and pet shop in the pretend and learn center, where kids go to get their pet turtle or dog well when they get sick. 

We learned about habitats and have had lots of fun playing in our ocean, artic, forest and desert. 

We have learned how animals grow, we have learned about life cycles and we have seen our beutiful caterpillars become butterflies. 

We have 5 baby butterflies in our class😍

We also learned about frogs and their habitats. We have 2 toads to take care of   It has been fun feeding them live crickets. 

What a fun day!! We released the butterflies to let them be free in their natural habitat.

An awesome day at Wilson with lots of parents who helped make this an incredible day!
