Animals

We've started a unit on animals. This is everyone's favorite because most kids love anomals. 

Our dramatic play area is A Vet where children can take their petwhe. Theyare sick or to buy a ner pet. The kids love to play here

We has an animal parade. 

Earth day

We celebrated earth day by learning about ways to keeo the earth clean. We started by cleaning the playground in teams and then counting how much trash each group collected. 

This was a great way to have atudents working together anod practice their one to one correspondence as they counted their trash

We also talked about the 3 Rs. Reduce, reuse and recucle. We finished the week with their recycle projects from home.

100 days smarter

Today we celebrated 100 days of school! We had a great time coming to school dressed as 100 year old!!  We danced as we counted to 100. We sorted snacks in groups of 10 and then we ate them all. We made 10 groups of 10 until we reached 100. 

We used the APP Oldster to make our face look old. 

Letter of the week

Learning how to write letters using play-doh is so much fun. Every student got to make their own letter as they learn how to roll the play-doh into long snakes. We use a big line and 3 little lines to make the letter E.

We read the book and sang the song! We painted each one of the characters and learned about colors. 

We worked on sequencing and retelling. It was so much fun !!!

Community

Communities have many cool places to visit and explore. We've been learning about maps and communities. Look at the beautiful maps we made collaborating and working together. 

First week of school

What a great week we've had. We are all learning new routines and getting to know each other. 

This week we've enjoyed reading Pete the Cat. 

We are introducing Mat Man while we learn to use  the wood pieces that we will use while making letters.
